Student opportunities

The SRH lab has quite a few ongoing projects! We have a plethora of opportunities to get involved and gain valuable research experience in the realm of sexual and reproductive health. Joining one of these project teams is a great way to engage with the campus community and develop applicable research-related skills. Students may learn:

  • Knowledge about prevalent sexual health issues on campus and beyond

  • How to communicate and collaborate with on-campus resources

  • How to successfully conduct interviews for the purpose of data collection

  • The skills to analyze qualitative data using coding software

  • How to effectively relay information using visual media

  • Effective strategies for reviewing and evaluating scientific literature

  • How to adhere to study protocols/knowledge of the IRB process
