About the lab
The SRH Lab at Cal Poly is a research lab focused on sexual and reproductive health issues that affect women/people with uteruses, especially people of color. Research topics include sexual activity, sexual dysfunction, contraception, sexual health decisions, menstruation- and conception-related topics.

Meet the team

Dr. Joni Roberts
Dr. Roberts is an assistant professor of Public Health at Cal Poly, holding degrees in Public Health (DrPH) and Education (MAT). She specializes in women’s sexual and reproductive health focusing on young adults and the preconception, conception and post conception periods of a woman’s life.

Anusha Sampath
Anusha Sampath is a 4th-year Public Health major concentrating in Culture and Society. She is currently working on the Perceptions of Condom Usage and “Clean Status” project.

Merav Tzori
Merav Tzori is a 4th-year Industrial Technology and Packaging major with a concentration in Industrial Technology. She oversees outreach initiatives and is working on her senior project to increase sexual health literacy on campus.

Leora is a 3rd-year Public Health major concentrating in Community and Public Health. She has been in the lab working on the Canvas modules and Sex-Ed team since Fall 2023.

Ava is a 3rd-year Biomedical Engineering major. She works on the Sex-Ed team doing research and data analysis!

Camden is a 2nd-year Public Health major on the pre-med track. He recently joined the lab and is focusing on sexual health literacy and behavior of students on campus.

Trista Wang is a 3rd-year Graphic Communication major with a concentration in UX/UI Design. She works on the development and maintenance of this website with Paige.
